Why use Waterjet cutting?
Our clients utilize waterjet cutting services as an economical way to cut 2D shapes (without cutouts of almost any complexity) in a wide range of materials by using a thinn, high pressure stream of water containing abrasive particles. The waterjet is at a very high pressure – typically 50,000 to 60,000 PSI and mixed with garnet abrasive. The high pressure is created by a special pump designed for the purpose. Waterjets generate no heat, so the material edge is unaffected and there is no distortion. No custom tooling is needed, making it affordable for short and medium runs.
